I just love Toad Rock! It's
real close, just the right size, hard to paint and easy to climb. It
has become a symbol of home and an idea to hang variatiions on. [Its
broken and cracked but may last another millennium or two! ]
People say to me, 'thank you
for giving us Toadrock'. I say, 'I didn't give anybody Toadrock, I just
saw it and began painting it about 30 years ago. The myth seems to have
taken its own natural process. The neckties were contributed by David
and Judy. They give it class.
I've also made a Bronze sculpture
of it, but it seems to have disappeared, [so I made a cement sculpture
of the bronze Toadrock that disappeared.]
It has become one of my Icons.
I kinda have identified with it. If you come visit me, I'll offer to
take you a climbin up it. Although, a shot of Gin may be required to
help you get up there that day.
